June 21, 2024, Professor Lu Yixin, the Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Singapore and the Dean of the School of Chemistry at the National University of Singapore, presented a conference report titled Amino Catalysis, Phosphine Catalysis Asymmetric Catalysis and beyond.... During his presentation, Academician Lu discussed the cutting-edge scientific research being conducted by his research group on catalytic reactions using natural amino acid derivatives, biomass degradation, high-value conversion applications, greenhouse gas conversion, and synthesis applications. Drawing from his own experiences in growth, education, and independent research, he inspired and motivated the attending teachers and students to maintain their enthusiasm for scientific research, reflect on their own journey, and envision their future life path.
