Qing-Rong is a plant pathologist working on diagnosis and integrated control of crop diseases. In recent years, her research has mainly focused on the diseases of sorghum and Gastrodia elata and their biological control. Professor Bai has discovered more than 20 new plant diseases in the field. She is committed to training front-line disease control personnel in microscopic diagnosis of plant diseases and proper applications of fungicides and fertilizers, helping reduce the application of these chemicals in the field. She has published more than 40 scientific papers.
