Profile
Since 2015, Jiang has been dedicated to researching the pivotal scientific issue of the green and clean synthesis and structure-activity relationship of original pesticide molecules within the domain of green pesticide development. Employing the unsaturated bond skeletal editing strategy, he has devised an efficient catalytic synthesis system for transforming common bulk chemical raw materials such as olefins, alkynes, and their derivatives into high-value-added pesticide molecules and lead compounds. Jiang has synthesized a range of originally structured pesticide molecules, encompassing olefins, thiochromanones, and fluorine-containing heterocyclic derivatives. These pesticide compounds exhibit functionalities such as bacterial disease inhibition, plant virus suppression, and interruption of vector-borne disease transmission by insects, thereby paving the way for the emergence of novel green and clean pesticide formulations. Jiang's research accomplishments carry significance not only in theory but also in offering ground-breaking solutions for agricultural production. Jiang has published 34 papers as the first author/corresponding author in prestigious international journals, including J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem., Ind. Ed., ACS Catal. and Chem. Sci. His contributions have garnered over 1000 citations in the SCI database, with his most cited paper receiving 190 citations. Additionally, Jiang has been granted 7 patents in China.
