Profile
Prof. Dr. Shi-Chao Ren completed his PhD at the University of Science and Technology of China in 2018 under the supervision of Prof. Yi-Feng Wang, where he focused on the development of new reactivities of boryl radicals to synthesize organoboron compounds. In 2019, he joined the Prof. Robin Chi group at the Nanyang Technological University for postdoctoral studies into NHC catalysis. He then began his independent career at Guizhou University in 2023. His works have been published in journals such as Nat. Commun., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., J. Agric. Food Chem., ACS Catal. His current research interest includes the development of novel catalytic synthetic methodologies, designing bioactive molecules, and investigating their agricultural bioactivities.
