Profile

Professor Shi-Chao Ren completed his PhD at the University of Science and Technology of China in 2018 under the supervision of Professor Yi-Feng Wang, where he focused on development of new reactivities of boryl radicals for synthesis of organoboron compounds. In 2019, he joined Professor Robin Chi’s group at the Nanyang Technological University for postdoctoral studies into NHC catalysis. He started his independent career at Guizhou University in 2022. His works have been published in journals such as Nat. Commun., J. Am. Chem. Soc., J. Agric. Food Chem., and ACS Catal. His current research interests include development of novel catalytic synthetic methodologies, design of bioactive molecules, and investigation of their agricultural bioactivities.
