Profile
Kankan Zhang is a professor majored in pesticide science. His research is mainly focused on pesticide residue analysis, environmental and dietary risk assessment, and safety of agricultural products. His work has raised new scientific issues based on the research of pesticide residue and environmental behaviour; established many pesticide residue analytic techniques, some of which were used on pesticide residue and registration experiments; provided efficient and accurate detection methods for quantitative study on the accumulation, metabolic degradation and migration distribution of pesticides in different environment matrices, crops and foods. He has published more than 60 scientific works. His research has been supported by several national grants, including National Natural Science Foundation of China (3 projects), and Guizhou Provincial Basic Research Program (Natural Science) (2 projects).
